Egyptian actress, Amina Khalil is currently preparing for a new TV series, in which she plans to participate during the Ramadan 2021 drama marathon.
The series, currently untitled, is written by Mariam Naoum and directed by Karim El Shennawy.
The production marks Khali's third collaboration with producer Abdullah Abul Fotouh, who previously collaborated with her on TV series "Leh La", and "Qabel".
“Leh La" witnessed the actress's first leading role in a TV series.
She was set to participate in the Ramadan 2020 drama marathon with the series, which was slated to be screened during the second half of Ramadan, but the production was suspended to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus, and its creators failed to catch up with the shooting schedule due to lack of time.
"Leh La" also stars Sherine Reda, Hala Sedki, Hany Adel, Omar Al Saeed, Sherine, Mohsen Mohy El-Din, Abdel Rahman Abou Zahra, and others.
The TV series is written by Mariam Naoum and directed by Mariam Abou Ouf.
Khalil is currently filming her new film “Wafet Regala” (A Men Stand), starring Maged El Kedwany.
The film is written by Haitham Dabour and directed by Ahmed El-Gendy.
“Wafet Regala” is a comedy genre, which also stars Bayoumi Fouad, Sayed Ragab, Sherief Desouky, Mohamed Sallam, and others.
The plot revolves around a group of friends who are reunited after years to help a friend in a great dilemma, which leads them to travel to a coastal city.
Khalil’s latest artistic work was film “Tawam Rouhi” (Soul Mate).
It is worth mentioning that Khalil, born on October 26, 1988, studied acting at the American University in Cairo.
She graduated in 2009 and traveled to the United States where she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Her uncle is the famous Jazz musician Yehya Khalil.
In 2014, she received the Jury Prize for the film festival Asham Film Society’s annual Forty Egyptian cinema.
Khalil is known for her roles in films such as “Lis Bagdad” (2019), “122” (2019), “El Badla” (2018), “El Khaleya” (2017), and “El Kenz” (2017).
She also is best known for her appearances in “Layali Eugenie” (2018), “La Totfe’ Al Shams” (2018), “Grand Hotel” (2016), “Esteefa” (2015),“Saheb El Saada” (2014), “Negdeb Law Qolna Mabenhebesh” (2013), “Sharbat Louz” (2012), “Taraf Talet” (2012), and “Al Jamiaa” (2011).
