American rapper Russell Vitale, known as Russ, performed his first-ever concert in Egypt on Friday, at Al-Alamein city. More than 10 thousand people attended the concert.
Russ attracted the admiration of the audience, who waited for him more than three hours before the start of the concert, by performing a number of his most famous songs, blending them with the lyrical performance while fireworks were launched off, surprising the audience.
The modern music and songs of Russ were mixed with the great historical value of the pharaohs' spirit, as the stage was designed by four statues of ancient Egyptian goddesses such as Anubis. These are the same statues that attracted the attention during the opening ceremony of Africa Cup of Nations at Cairo Stadium.
The concert was organized by “Cvents” which seeks to attract a number of famous global stars to perform huge concerts in Egypt.
Russ is a rapper and an independent artist. He produces, writes and distributes all his musical works. Currently, he is considered one of the American Rap icons.
The American rapper achieved great popularity in the Arab world since he promotes optimism and fulfilling dreams.
He occupied the seventh rank in Billboard 200, and the fifth rank on the R&B/Rap ranking. He also was granted the Riaa Golden Award for “What They Want” and “Losin’ Control” songs. His album “There’s Really a Wolf” received the global Platinum award.
