Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard has been engaged in battle courts since 2016.

Depp filed in March 2019 a $50 million lawsuit against Heard, alleging that her abuse allegations were false and saying they had cost him money and career opportunities.

Heard, in turn, accused her ex-husband by abusing drugs and alcohol, roughing her up and screaming at her, along with other claims of abuse, which she allegedly suffered throughout their 15-month marriage and four-year relationship.

New Evidence

New abuse allegations have emerged supported by a verified recording of Heard admitting to having hit Depp.

The newly released audio seems to authenticate Depp’s claims of being in an abusive marriage with Heard.

The recording was of a discussion between the pair as they had a fight that got physical.

The actress had also called him a “baby” in the audio for saying he was punched when she was just slapping him.

“Babe, you’re not punched,” Heard tells Depp. “I don’t know what the motion of my actual hand was, but you’re fine. I did not hurt you, I did not punch you, I was hitting you.”

Depp tells her at another point in the discussion, “I do not want to leave you, I do not want a porce, I do not want you out of my life. I just want peace. If things get physical, we have to separate.”

“I can’t promise you I won’t get physical again,” she says on the tape, according to USA Today. “God, I (expletive) sometimes get so mad I lose it. I can (expletive) promise you I can do everything to change.” Heard replied.

How it all Began?

Heard and Depp married in 2015 with both stars signing an NDAs barring them from discussing their relationship publicly.

Heard filed for porce on May 23, 2016, and obtained a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Depp, accusing him of abusing her, claims in which Depp had denied.

The former couple settled their porce out of court in August 2016 for $7 million, which she donated to charity.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp

Depp sued her in his $50 million lawsuit for defamation after she wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post in December 2018 in which she described being an alleged victim of domestic violence.

“During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me,” Heard had claimed in 2016.

“He has a short fuse. He is often paranoid, and his temper is extremely scary for me, as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life-threatening to me."

While she never mentioned Depp by name, the actor’s lawsuit called her allegations against him a “hoax.”

Abuse

Depp accused his ex-wife Heard of abusing him in his first declaration as part of his defamation lawsuit.

The actor had submitted a statement giving his first-person account of his relationship with the “Aquaman” actress in court documents.

“I have denied Ms. Heard’s allegations vehemently since she first made them in May 2016 when she walked into court to obtain a temporary restraining order with painted-on bruises that witnesses and surveillance footage show she did not possess each day of the preceding week,” Depp began. “I will continue to deny them for the rest of my life.”

“I never abused Ms. Heard or any other woman,” he added.

Depp had also claimed in his declaration that he had been the victim of abuse conducted by Heard.

“She was the perpetrator, and I was the victim,” he alleged. “While mixing prescription amphetamines and non-prescription drugs with alcohol, Ms. Heard committed innumerable acts of domestic violence against me, often in the presence of a third-party witness, which in some instances caused me serious bodily harm.”

Depp revealed that she “hit, punched, and kicked” him as well as repeatedly and frequently throwing objects into his body and head, including: "heavy bottles", "soda cans", "burning candles", "television remote controls", and "paint thinner cans," which have severely injured him,

However, Heard’s lawyer Eric George denied the allegations against the actress, claiming that Depp was the one who “repeatedly beat” her.

Court papers have also revealed how Depp's finger was severed in 2015. The actor revealed that the accident did not happen while he was partying with friends as was claimed, but rather because Heard was enraged that his lawyer had asked her to sign a post-nuptial agreement after the two had tied the knot in 2015.

“She went berserk and began throwing bottles at me,” Depp claimed. “The first bottle sailed past my head and missed, but then she threw a large glass vodka bottle.”

The actor stated that the bottle hit the countertop where he had his hand and caused his finger to shatter, ultimately severing his fingertip.

“I had to have 3 surgeries to reconstruct my finger and contracted MRSA three times,” he claimed. “I feared that I would lose my finger, my arm, and my life.”

The straw that broke the camel's back

In 2016, Depp said he sought a porce from Heard after an incident, after finding feces in his bed. He revealed that Heard admitted to their estate manager that the feces was "just a harmless prank.’”
