Liao Liqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Cairo stressed that his country attaches great importance to developing Chinese vaccines so that they become the most effective against coronavirus (Covid 19).
During a virtual press conference on Tuesday, the ambassador added that Chinese companies strictly adhere to international laws on developing vaccines in a legal manner to ensure their easy flow to friendly countries.
"Some Chinese vaccines have passed the 3rd phase of clinical trials and proven their efficacy effectively," he added.
The Ambassador also said the Chinese government has agreed on the emergency use of Chinese vaccines in some areas and cases, noting that they have shown no side effects on users.
Moreover, the diplomat revealed that UAE and Bahrain have agreed to officially register China's COVID-19 vaccine developed by "Sinopharm" company, noting that it has also been approved for emergency use in Egypt.
Liqiang emphasized that the Chinese vaccine can be used and stored, at no additional costs, through an easy and simple cold chain and does not require advanced equipment, unlike other vaccines.
He also added that once China completes the accreditation procedures for the vaccines currently being manufactured, they will be made globally available at affordable and fair prices to help developing countries combat the pandemic.
"We are keen to cooperate with all countries around the world, providing more vaccines and contributions so that they become available to all peoples of the world at a low price," the ambassador said.
