Ahmed Abu Zayd, Egypt’s Ambassador to Canada organized yesterday, Tuesday, a special visit for a number of Canadian officials, heads of diplomatic corps, and prominent persons of the Egyptian community to the Exhibition of “Egypt’s Queens” held currently in the Museum of the Canadian History in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada.
The visit marked the Egyptian National Day on July 23 and coinciding with Egypt’s Embassy in Ottawa festivals of the “ Month of the Egyptian Heritage in Ontario.”
More than one hundred visitors in consequent groups toured the exhibition due to the precautionary measurements linked to the Corona pandemic in Canada.
The visitors were amazed at the Egyptian civilization and Egypt’s historic contribution to enriching all forms of culture and arts.
The Egyptian embassy presented a host of promoting tourist documents to the visitors and monumental gifts that show the Egyptian cultural persity throughout history.
Abu Zayd expressed delight after completing the tour despite the precautionary measurements, pointing out that the big number of visitors, their persity, participation of more than 50 ambassadors, representatives of Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Heritage, proves Egypt’s place and the visitors’ wish to visit her.
He added that the participation of prominent persons of the Egyptian community in Ottawa gave the visit a special taste and was a source of pride to the Egyptian Embassy and community as they saw this credit and amazement and Egypt's place internationally.
