Oscar nominee Amanda Seyfried will play Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu's highly-anticipated limited TV series "The Dropout", which she will also produce.
Seyfried replaces Kate McKinnon after the SNL Emmy winner departed from the series in February.
The limited series centers around how Theranos founder Holmes raised hundreds of millions to fund the biotech start-up and became a media darling while hiding the fact that she touted a blood-testing machine that didn't really work.
The production is based on an ABC News podcast of the same name, which also was the basis for a 20/20 episode. The series is from Fox Searchlight's TV pision and 20th Television.
