Saudi police spokesman said on Sunday that King Salman’s personal bodyguard General Abdelaziz al-Fagham was killed by his friend Mamdouh al-Ali, who shot him during his visit to a mutual friend named Turki bin Abdulaziz Al-Sabti at his home in Al-Shati neighborhood in Jeddah.

Police said that the motive of the crime was a personal dispute and developed to altercation as the two insulted each others, prompting Mamdouh al-Ali to go out of the house, and then he brought a firearm and shot at Al-Fagham, wounding him and two others in the house, the brother of the house`s owner, and a Filipino worker.

Many Twitter users circulated a picture of the man who killed Saudi King Salma’s bodyguard, pointing out that he was a son of a member of the Saudi Shura Council, Dr. Meshal Al Ali, and his aunt is the Princess Mashail bint Mamdouh Al Ali, ex-wife of Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, King’s Salman’s  brother.

However, no one is sure that this information on the social media outlets is correct.

The Twitterers pointed out that Al Ali family belong to Shammar tribe, which was ruling Hail before the rule of Rashid.

The deceased was mourned on Twitter by many of his relatives, friends, celebrities, officials and thousands of citizens; the deceased`s pictures were exchanged with words of obituary and verses of lamentation, as well as calls for mercy and forgiveness.

It is noteworthy that at the beginning of 1410 AH the deceased joined King Khalid Military College and graduated from the end of 1412 and was appointed special brigade and transferred his services to the Royal Guard after merging with the special brigade.

During King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz's reign, the deceased served as a bodyguard – may God have mercy on him – and then worked as a guard for King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God protect him.
