Next month the 11th edition of the Malmö Arab Festival (MAFF) will kick off in an exceptional hybrid edition. Here is all you need to know about the upcoming edition.
Organized from April 6 to 11, 40 films will participate in the various competitions of the forthcoming edition: 15 long features, and 25 short films. 11 Arab countries are competing in this edition including Egypt.
The official Competition will witness the participation of 11 films are "The Man who Sold his Skin" (Tunisia), "Curfew" (Egypt), "200 Meter" (Palestine), "Under the Concrete" (Lebanon), "Gaza Mon Amour" (Palestine), "The Postcard" (Morocco), "Their Algeria" (Algeria), "The Tambour of Retribution" (KSA), "The Fall of Apple Trees" (Morocco), "Le Fuite" (Tunisia), "We are from there," (Lebanon), and "Al Mastanti" (Tunisia).
Four Egyptian short films will also compete in the festival's competition: "I am Afraid to Forget your Face," "Sunday at 5," "Tuk Tuk," and "The Other Cheek."
"The Man who Sold his Skin" was selected as the opening film, especially after the film was chosen to represent the MENA region in OSCARS competitions.
