The Algerian presidency announced on Tuesday that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune is on his way to recovery. He will stay in Germany until his health condition stabilizes.

In a statement, the presidential statement said that

Tebboune will return to Algeria after he is fully recovered.

The presidency noted that Tebboune reassured the Algerian people that he would recover in a German hospital.

Tebboune left the German hospital but he will remain in Germany during the recovery period, according to the statement.

According to the Presidency, Tebboune was admitted to an Algerian military hospital, but his medical team recommended that he travel for treatment in Germany.

Tebboune also entered quarantine, after officials of the Algerian Presidency were infected with the Coronavirus.

The Algerian Presidency responded last Tuesday to the news circulated by some websites about the deterioration of the health of Tebboune, who went for treatment in Germany after being infected with the Coronavirus.

It confirmed that rumors about the health condition of Tebboune are not true.

On November 3, the Algerian presidency announced that President Tebboune tested positive for coronavirus, adding that his health condition is gradually improving as he receives treatment in a German hospital.

Tebboune became the first president of an Arab country to contract the deadly virus.

“The Algerian president continues to receive treatment in a specialized German hospital after catching the Covid-19 illness and is gradually recovering,” the statement read.
