On Monday, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune called for legal action against Israel, urging the International Criminal Court and international human rights organizations to take legal measures.

During the opening ceremony of the new judicial year, Tebboune stated that this is the only way to end decades of impunity for crimes committed against Palestinians.

He added, "We wonder where justice is in the world. Where is the right of oppressed peoples, including the Palestinian people?"

Tebboune argued that "in occupied Palestine, all human, ethical, religious, and legal standards have collapsed in the face of the heinous massacres committed daily by the occupying forces against the Palestinian people, with the world witnessing this in terrible silence."
