President Abdelmadjid Tebboune called for effective measures against the Israeli occupation authorities on Tuesday, urging them to cease their aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and to hold them legally and criminally accountable for their crimes in the region.

In a speech delivered on his behalf by Health Minister Abdelhak Saihi at a high-level conference on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, held in Amman, Jordan, President Tebboune expressed his hope that "the outcomes of this significant event will lead to practical solutions that alleviate the suffering of our Palestinian brothers in Gaza and address their concerning humanitarian situation."

President Tebboune emphasized that the continuation of this situation is due to "the ongoing military operations by the occupying authorities, which violate international law and human and ethical standards."

He called on the international community to "compel the Zionist entity to immediately and permanently cease fire by adopting strict measures such as imposing a ban on arms sales and conducting a comprehensive reassessment of relations with it."

"In line with its unwavering and unconditional support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, it is not surprising that Algeria is present at an event aimed primarily at rallying international support to stand by this wounded people," President Tebboune added.
