Algerian Foreign Minister (FM) Ahmed Attaf, discussed with his Palestinian counterpart, Riad Al-Maliki, the latest developments in the Israeli aggression against Gaza, as well as developments in the Yemeni crisis.
This came on the sidelines of his participation in the work of the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, as part of the delegation led by the Algerian Prime Minister, Nezir Arabawy, during the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, on Friday in the Ugandan capital, Kampala.
According to a statement by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Attaf met with the Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad al-Maliki, to discuss the latest developments in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
They agreed to enhance coordination to intensify diplomatic pressure on the Security Council in order to urge it to assume its responsibilities to impose a ceasefire and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
The statement added that the meeting - which brought together the Algerian Foreign Minister with his Tunisian counterpart, Nabil Amara, was a renewed opportunity to review a number of issues related to the brotherly relations and cooperation between the two countries and peoples, as well as the developments in the Maghreb region.
