The Algerian government announced the final dates of the national vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in the country on Thursday.
The campaign will kick off on Saturday, a day after receiving the first shipment of the Russian vaccine "Sputnik V."
The state-owned channel "Al Thaletha" said that the first shipment of the Sputnik V vaccine will arrive in the state's Boufarik Airport on Friday.
Blida's hospital will be the first place to witness the vaccination while the medical workers will be the earliest persons to be vaccinated followed by old-aged people according to the Minister of Communiation and the government's spokesman Ammar Belhimer.
The Blida was the earliest city in Algeria that witnessed a tragic outbreak of the COVID-19 last March, leading to isolating the city.
