Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, reaffirmed his country's unwavering support for Lebanon during this crucial phase in its history.
His remarks came following a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Sunday in Beirut, as part of an official visit in his capacity as a special envoy of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Attaf congratulated the Lebanese president on his election and on completing the necessary steps to form the new Lebanese government, wishing it success, according to the Algerian News Agency (APS).
Moreover, Attaf highlighted that Lebanon is going through a critical stage focused on strengthening its institutions, revitalizing its economy, and ensuring security.
He also noted that he delivered a written message from President Tebboune to President Aoun, conveying his fraternal greetings and renewing his congratulations on his election.
In addition, he also stated that his discussions with President Aoun covered bilateral relations, with both sides agreeing on the need to revitalize and expand their cooperation.
They also emphasized the importance of close coordination and ongoing consultation to contribute to the success of upcoming Arab events.
