On Wednesday, Algeria knocked out hosts Qatar in a dramatic 2-1 win to reach the FIFA Arab Cup final.
Algeria's side Mohammed Belaili converted a penalty kick in the 17th minute of stoppage time and set up a mouthwatering final against North African rivals Tunisia.
The match seemed to be heading for extra time before Algeria was awarded a penalty kick, which was converted after the initial effort was saved by Qatar’s goal-keeper Saad Alsheeb.
Defender Djamel Benlamri gave Algeria the lead in the 59th minute with a powerful volley from the edge of the area after Qatar keeper Saad Al Sheeb had pushed a corner into his path.
Muntari restored parity when he outjumped his marker to send a header in off the post. The referee checked a video replay for an alleged foul in the build-up but confirmed his decision to award the goal.
