Egyptian actor, Hani Salama will be honored at the first edition of the Alexandria Francophone Film Festival (FAFF) in recognition of his outstanding artistic career.
Salama will be feted with the festival shield at the opening ceremony, which will be held on September 11 at the Alexandria Opera House.
The opening ceremony is set to be attended by many celebrities and critics as well as the Ministry of Culture and the Alexandria Governorate officials and Francophone countries ambassadors.
The inaugural edition was initially scheduled for June 2020 but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The festival, headed by Egyptian veteran actor Samir Sabry, will screen around 50 movies, representing a number of Francophone countries, with a focus on Tunisian-directed films as Tunisia is the festival’s country of honor.
FAFF will conclude on September 16.
