The Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries, headed by film critic Amir Abaza, will honor prominent Egyptian actor Khaled El Sawy, in the 37th edition, which is scheduled to take place from September 25 to October 1.
El Sawy is recognized for his contribution to world cinema and rich artistic career.

In a statement, the prominent actor expressed his happiness to be honored by a prestigious festival such as Alexandria Film Festival and stressed that being honored always carries a special meaning for any artist, as it is the biggest evidence that they are on the right path in terms of the quality of the works they provide.
He also expressed his love for Alexandria, which contains many important historical monuments.
The festival will also distribute, during the edition, a book about his artistic career.
El Sawy participated last Ramadan with TV series “Elle Maloush Kbeer” and “Cairo-Kabul”.
