On Friday, the Christian sects in Aleppo, Syria, held a prayer that took place at the Maronite Church in the city. The prayer was called by the heads of the bishops for the International Day of Peace.

The mass was headed by Youssef Toubgi, the head of Maronite bishops, and he asked God for peace and cure for his city and for the whole world.

A number of breathtaking hymns were chanted calling for salvation, purity, and peace.

Moreover, one of the bishops told Sputnik that the church celebrated Christmas and the New Year.

He added that the Mass dedicated to the World's Peace Day was for Syria and the whole world after the tragic year that passed, asserting that hope is still here, and they will keep praying for peace.
