Aladdin Dominates 1st Spot in Box Office

Aladdin, a musical fantasy movie, occupied the first spot in the worldwide box office with $142,6 million over this week.

Aladdin movie, starring Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, and Will Smith, is directed by Guy Ritchie, produced by Dan Lin, and written by John August.

John wick Chapter 3 Parabellum came in the second spot with $38 million. The action movie, starring Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, and Ian McShane, is directed by Chad Stahelski, written by Derek Kolstad, Shay Hatten, Chris Collins, and Marc Abrams, and produced by Summit Entertainment. Parabellum is a sequel to John Wick 2014, and 2017.

while Avengers: Endgame settled in third place with $26,3 million. The 22nd film from Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) managed to smash the records with $365 million on its first two days, dominating the box office for three consecutive weeks.

Pokemon Detective Pikachu took the fourth spot with $21,1 million. The animated movie, which hit theaters on May 10, 2019, was directed by Rob Letterman, and written by Dan Hernandez and, Benji Samit. Last week, it came in third position with $66,4 million.

The fifth position went to the horror movie Brightburn with $11,8 million. The American film, starring Elizabeth Banks as Tori Breyer, Jackson A. Dunn as Brandon Breyer, David Denman as Kyle Breyer, was directed by David Yarovesky, written by Brian Gunn, and Mark Gunn, and produced by Screen Gems.

It is worth mentioning that John Wick Chapter 3 topped the box office over the last week, managing to end the three-week reign of Avengers: Endgame in the first spot.
