Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi met on Sunday with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty in Cairo, praising Egypt’s efforts to promote security and stability in the region.
Al-Yamahi commended President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi’s leadership, highlighting Egypt’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause and its diplomatic efforts to ease humanitarian suffering. He said Egypt remains a central pillar of Arab stability and a key anchor for regional and global security, noting the significance of international initiatives hosted by Cairo.
Al-Yamahi also thanked Egyptian institutions for their continued support of the Arab Parliament, stressing the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in defending Arab interests and complementing official Arab diplomacy.
For his part, Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s appreciation for the Arab Parliament as a unifying platform reflecting Arab public aspirations and strengthening common Arab positions, affirming Cairo’s full support for enhancing the parliament’s institutional performance and international presence.
