Iraqi Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shia al-Sudani affirmed on Wednesday, Iraq's keenness to maintain and develop relations with Pakistan.
Al-Sudani received Pakistani Interior Minister Rana Thanaullah Khan, and his accompanying delegation.
They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the security field, exchanging intelligence information, and cooperation in combating terrorism, drugs and organized crime.
Moreover, Al-Sudani expressed his condemnation of the terrorist attack, which took place in Bajaur province in Pakistan two days ago, offering his condolences and sympathy to the victims, their families and Pakistani people as well.
For his part, Pakistani minister conveyed his government's appreciation and desire to expand economic partnership relations with Iraq for the benefit of the two peoples.
