Al-Sharqiya Governor Dismisses Reports over Hospital Oxygen Shortages

Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al-Sharqiya, dismissed on Sunday reports that 7 Coronavirus patients died in Al Husseiniya Central Hospital due to an alleged lack of oxygen supplies.

The governor said that 4 Coronavirus patients died after their health condition deteriorated due to the Coronavirus infection while suffering chronic diseases.

A Video was widely circulated on social media from inside Al Husseiniya Central Hospital, showing a number of Coronavirus patients lying dead in the intensive care unit, while witness sound tells it happened because of oxygen shortage.

The governor said: "A technical committee was formed as soon as the video appeared, and I went to the hospital to see it all myself, and by examination, it was clear that 4 Coronavirus patients died as they were suffering chronic diseases."
