Al-Sharaa, Trump Discuss Syrian Sovereignty, Kurdish Rights over Phone

The Syrian Presidency announced that President Ahmed al-Sharaa held a phone call today, Monday, with U.S. President Donald Trump.

During the call, both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining Syria's territorial integrity and independence, while supporting all efforts aimed at achieving stability.

​The two sides stressed the necessity of guaranteeing the rights and protection of the Kurdish people within the framework of the Syrian state. 

Furthermore, they agreed to continue cooperation in the fight against ISIS and to eliminate its remaining threats.

​Moreover, both presidents expressed a shared vision for a strong and unified Syria, capable of facing regional and international challenges. 

The call also touched upon several regional issues, with an emphasis on the importance of granting Syria a new opportunity to move toward a better future.
