Fayez Al-Sarraj welcomes Libyan HoR's decision to grant confidence to Government of National Unity

Libyan Prime Minister Fayez Al-Sarraj welcomed the decision of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) to grant confidence to the Libyan Government of National Unity, considering it a "step to end the pision."

"We congratulate the government of national unity for gaining confidence from the House of Representatives, and we express our full readiness to hand over the tasks and responsibilities," Al-Sarraj said.

He added that What happened today is an important step to end the fighting and pision.

The Libyan Prime Minister-designate of the Government of National Unity (GNU) Abdulhamid Al-Dabaiba won the Parliament’s vote of confidence with the majority of 132 votes.

The Speaker of Parliament, Counselor Aguila Saleh, during the session, urged the Prime Minister to adhere to the road map set by the members of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) and pave the way for general elections as scheduled on December 24, 2021.
