Al-Qassam: Hamas Holds 200 to 250 Israeli Prisoners Since Outbreak of Al-Aqsa Military Operation

The military spokesman for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Abu Ubaida, announced yesterday, Monday, that the number of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip is between 200 to 250, noting that 22 Israeli prisoners were killed as a result of the Israeli bombing of Gaza.

Abu Ubaida said, in a televised speech: “Israel's threat of a ground operation against the resistance does not intimidate us, and we are ready to deal with any brutal force, and Gaza will only be a graveyard for its invaders.”

He added: "The number of Israeli prisoners we have is between 200 to 250, and what is held by the Al-Qassam Brigades is 200 prisoners, and the rest are distributed among the resistance factions and other places."

He pointed out that "22 prisoners have lost their lives due to Israeli bombing so far.

He went on to say that the resistance factions have a group of detainees of different nationalities.
