The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Palestinian Hamas movement, announced on Tuesday that 8 Israeli soldiers were killed during clashes in the Tal al-Zaatar area in the northern Gaza Strip.
Al-Qassam said in a statement: “Al-Qassam fighters were able to target a special Israeli force in the Tal al-Zaatar area in the northern Gaza Strip with a TBG missile, and they confirmed the killing of 8 Zionist soldiers.”
In another statement, it indicated that 19 Israeli soldiers were killed or wounded during Tuesday's battles, confirming that 9 Israeli military vehicles were targeted.
The Al-Qassam Brigades revealed earlier on Tuesday that it had targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with an Al-Yassin 105 shell in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
