On Monday, Al Masry FC announced the appointment of Hossam Hassan as head coach for the fourth time following the departure of Tunisian coach Moine Chaabani.

Ex-Esperenace head coach Moine Chaabani had taken charge of Al Masry back in September of last year.

During his time with the Greens, he led them to the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals, but they were knocked RS Berkane who then won the title.

However, the team has been suffering in the Egyptian Premier League, lying in 14th place after collecting only one point in the last five games.

As a result, Al Masry board of directors decided to replace the Tunisian manager, and his successor is revealed to be Hossam Hassan.

Hassan is no stranger to Al Masry as he previously took charge of the club on three different occasions, in 2008, 2012, and 2015.

In his last and longest stint with Al Masry, he left the team in 137 games between 2015 and 2018, of which he won 66, tied in 41, and lost 30.
