The activities of the World Economic Forum kicked off today, Tuesday, in the Swiss city of Davos, with the participation of Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation.
A number of heads of state and government, ministers, senior economic decision-makers, and representatives of major international companies and international organizations are discussing ways to enhance international cooperation and increase partnership between the government and private sectors to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The forum marks, this year, the 50th anniversary of launching its annual meeting. The forum’s program includes 7 main themes- overcoming environmental challenges that threaten our world nowadays, society and the future of work, employing technology to serve people, better business activities, better health future, geopolitical issues, fairer economies and addressing the problem of "Inequality in wealth."
Al-Mashat's program includes participating in several sessions on the future strategy in the Middle East, the future of gender equality, technological infrastructure and economic integration in the Middle East and North Africa, in addition to participating in meetings of world economic leaders.
The minister will meet with a number of international financing institutions and Egypt's development partners on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum to discuss the priorities of the Egyptian government program during the next stage.
