Dr. Mansour Bakry, Head of Al-Manakh District in Port Said Governorate, confirmed that the district is the first district in Egypt to be powered by solar energy, within the framework of the use of clean energy.
Dr. Bakri added that all the main streets in the neighborhood have had their lamps changed to LED bulbs that are very efficient, with 97% of the existing lamps.
It is worth noting that the Al-Manakh neighborhood is one of the oldest popular neighborhoods in Port Said Governorate, whose people are distinguished by the fishing craft. The housing in that district is the most magnificent net spinning, and the neighborhood has been established since the digging of the Suez Canal in the 19th century.
