Al-Kazemi: Iraq   Succeeds in Reducing   Number of Foreign Forces by 60%

The  Prime Minister of Iraq, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, confirmed today, Monday that his country has succeeded in reducing the number of foreign forces by 60%.

He said during a visit paid to the headquarters of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs: "We succeeded in developing active diplomacy during the period of this government, as we did strategic dialogue with the United States.

He added that his government     moved towards focusing on economic, diplomatic and cultural cooperation, and   also succeeded in reducing the number of foreign forces by sixty percent."

The Iraqi Premier  praised the "Iraqi diplomacy because it   helped the country out of the economic crisis, as the Economic Communication Group was formed."

On the other hand, Majid Takht Rawanji, the permanent representative of Iran to the United Nations, considered that the American air strikes on the Iraqi forces   "a violation of international law."

He revealed that the American permanent representative to the United Nations tried to accuse the Islamic Republic of Iran of supporting the so-called non-governmental armed groups in Iraq," Rawanji said.

The Iranian diplomat  stressing that "Tehran categorically rejected these accusations, as in the past."

He affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has not participated, directly or indirectly, in any armed attack by any entity or inpidual, against the United States in Iraq, and therefore it rejects any allegations that Iran participated, explicitly or implicitly, in an attack on the forces."

The Americans are in Iraq, and that such accusations are totally baseless, have no legal consideration, and are null', he said.

Rawanji continued to say that the Islamic Republic of Iran condemns the unlawful military attack launched by the American forces on the Iraqi forces on the Syrian-Iraqi border on February 25, 2021."

He noted that "such dangerous actions are a violation of the sovereignty of the countries of the region."

He warned that those attacks pose as a clear violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations."
