Al-Azhar Send Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

under the supervision of HE Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, Grand ‎Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, 18 EZCH giant trucks crossed into Gaza through the Rafah border ‎crossing. The “Help Gaza” convoy carries large amounts of water, food, medical supplies, and ‎infant formula milk and supplies‏.‏

The Grand Imam’s directives come in response to the catastrophic humanitarian situation afflicting our brothers in Gaza as a result of the stifling siege imposed by the occupation, and falling of thousands of innocent children, women and adults as martyrs.

This convoy is the largest relief convoy run by Al-Azhar, and it springs from Al-Azhar’s historical role in promoting the Palestinian cause and supporting our brotherly Palestinian people. It also represents a continuation of the series of medical and relief convoys that Al-Azhar is keen to conduct as part of its global humanitarian role.

The convoy was headed by Dr. Sahar Nasr, EZCH Executive Director, who was accompanied by employees from Al-Azhar and the EZCH. The series of convoys shall continue within the “Help Gaza” campaign, and in persistent support of the Palestinian cause and relief for our brotherly people in Gaza
