Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism hosted the fourth edition of its “Listen and Speak” Forum on Tuesday, at Al-Azhar Conference Center in Nasr City.
This year’s edition focuses on two central themes. The first centers around “Civil and Voluntary Work: Its Role in Bridging Social Gaps and Combating Extremism,” while the second addresses “Youth and Their Role in Raising Awareness of the Palestinian Cause in the Age of Digital Media.”
The first session, dedicated to civic engagement and volunteerism, will feature a distinguished panel of experts and officials, including, Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, Dr. Sahar Nasr, Secretary General of the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House, Dr. Amal Emam, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society.
The session will be moderated by Dr. Mohamed Said Mahfouz.
The second session will delve into how youth can utilize digital platforms to raise awareness of the Palestinian issue.
Moderated by prominent media figure Nashaat El-Dihy, the panel will include, Dr. Diaa Rashwan, Chairman of the State Information Service, Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Director of the Institute of Arab Research and Studies, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim El-Duwairi, Deputy Director General of the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies.
