On Saturday, Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayyeb received a Pakistani delegation headed by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the State of Pakistan, Noor Al-Haq Qadri.

In a statement on its official Twitter account, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif said that Al-Tayyeb received the Pakistani delegation at the headquarters of the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar.
It added that"the Pakistani Minister of Religious Affairs expressed his deep appreciation for what Al-Azhar is doing in leading global efforts in the field of dialogue between followers of religions and combating extremism through its scientific and educational bodies, envoys and alumni outside Egypt."
"Pakistan has always been keen to benefit from the fatwas of Al-Azhar scholars," said Qadri.
The Pakistani Minister of Religious Affairs stated that his ministry "has prepared a book on dealing between Muslims and non-Muslims and that it is preparing to present it to Al-Azhar and translate it into many languages, within the framework of disseminating and consolidating the principles of peaceful coexistence and respect for others."
