Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attacks, that took place Tuesday, in Kampala, Uganda, resulting in the death of three people and the injury of 36 others.
In a statement, the top religious institution stressed that the use of violence and killing against innocents is a 'heinous crime', far from the teachings of tolerant religions that called for peace.
The institution underlined the need to mobilize and unite international efforts to confront terrorist organizations, so that the world enjoys security, peace, and stability.
Al-Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayyeb offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, and the Ugandan people, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
