Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif condemns in the strongest terms the Zionist terrorist aggression that targeted the safe people in Rafah city, which is crowded with displaced people, claiming the livers of more than 100 people, half of whom were children. So, it warns the entire world of an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in case they remain silent regarding the dangerous, criminal Zionist plan to storm Rafah, which is now home to about one and a half million refugees who have left their homes in northern, central and southern Gaza in search of a safe refuge.
Al-Azhar also underscores the need to unite in confronting the crimes of the Zionist entity against Rafah, especially with the Zionists turning a deaf ear to the global calls issued by various active parties in the international community, stressing that failure to provide relief to the innocent Palestinians – soonest - will lead to the death of tens of thousands, including women, children, youth and elderly, who have fled the fires of Zionist aggression, in a new genocide to be added to the 75-year-old criminal record of the Zionist entity.
Moreover, Al-Azhar scholars call on the international community and the active powers to live up to their responsibility, of maintaining humaneness and conscientiousness in face of such catastrophic double threat of killing, extermination, and prevention of access of adequate humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip, and in turn of eliminating all aspects of life in the isolated Strip.
