Al-Azhar International Academy for the Training of Imams and Preachers has concluded a monthlong course titled “Linguistic Foundations and Methodology of Juristic Understanding,” attended by 45 imams and preachers from Indonesia.
The program aimed to strengthen participants’ skills in interpreting Islamic legal texts through a sound scholarly methodology rooted in moderation and balance. Organizers said the course combined theoretical lectures with practical training to enhance participants’ linguistic and jurisprudential competencies.
In closing remarks, the Indonesian imams expressed appreciation for Al-Azhar’s role in advancing their professional development. They said the training improved their ability to analyze religious texts accurately while promoting values of tolerance and coexistence within their communities.
The program ended with a graduation ceremony in which certificates were distributed to all participants, marking the completion of the academy’s latest international training initiative aimed at supporting religious leaders worldwide.
