Al Ahly's History against Sundowns in CAF Champions League

Al Ahly's of Egypt are set to host Mamelodi Sundowns in the third round of the CAF Champions League on Saturday

The two teams met before in eight matches, all of them were in the CAF Champions League

The Red Devils succeeded in winning four of them, and three matches ended in a draw, while the South African team won only one match.

The first encounter was in 2001 in the final when the Red Devils secured a 3-0 aggregate win to claim the title.

The last two encounter between both teams was in the last edition's quarter final as the African champions pulled off a 2-1 aggregate victory.
