Al-Ahly club topped the list of Arab and African clubs in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) rankings issued today, Sunday, after coming in 34th place globally with 248.5 points, instead of 32nd place it occupied in last month's rankings.
Al-Ahly club outperformed many major clubs in the rankings, such as the Turkish football giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, Porto of Portugal, Eindhoven of the Netherlands, Lyon of France, and Tottenham of England.
According to the latest ranking issued by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics, Al-Ahly tops its group in the 2025 Club World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States next summer, while Brazilian Palmeiras ranks 38th, Portuguese Porto ranks 40th, while American Inter Miami ranks 384th.
Saudi Al-Hilal came in second place among Arab clubs, after coming in 75th place globally in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics ranking.
Zamalek came in 63rd place and second among African clubs with 192 points, advancing 20 places from last month's ranking, Pyramids in 70th place with 184.5 points after advancing 29 places, and Al-Masry in 192nd place with 107 points.
