The African Clubs Volleyball Championship concluded its events on the Egyptian soil.
It was an all-Egyptian final, where the Egyptian clubs Al Ahly and Smouha competed for the title.

The Cairo-based Al Ahly defeated Alexandria-based Smouha 3-0.
Al Ahly's prestigious history throughout the championship
This is the third consecutive year and the 14th time overall for Al Ahly to win such a prestigious championship.
At the first-ever time of the tournament's celebration in 1980, Al Ahly won the first place. 1983 saw the championship's second ceremony, where Al Ahly was also the champion.

In 1995, 1996, 1997, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2017,and 2018, Al Ahly snatched the title.
Remarkable jump for Smouha
Obtaining this year's bronze medal is a remarkable triumph. The club highest achievement was in 2016 and 2018, winning bronze.
Zamalek's victories at the tournament
Worth noting is that the Zamalek club also marked great triumphs at the tournament.

The club was the champion in 1984, 1987, 2008, 2009, and 2012. In 1980, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1993, 2002, 2010, Zamalek won silver.
