Al Ahly have held on Saturday a press conference to present the Red Devils' new head coach Pitso Mosimane.
Mosimane has been named as Al Ahly's new head coach on Thursday to succeed former Manager Rene Weiler, who left the team after claiming the Egyptian Premier League title.
On his part, Mosimane said that he is pleased at leading Al Ahly as they are one of the biggest clubs in the continent.
"I came here with experiences that I faced Al Ahly twice, and I know that Al Ahly are a big club as I noticed how they play inside and outside Egypt," the 56-year-old South African manager said.
"It was not easy for me to leave Mamelodi Sundowns after spending eight years with them, but this means what I have mentioned before that Al Ahly are a great club. My presence here reflects the South Africa president's words about strengthening the ties between both countries," he noted.

Mosimane also stressed that Sundowns' president and fans supported him in his new adventure.
"I used to work under pressure, and I know that Al Ahly's board of directors are supporting me all the time," the South African manager added.
"The only thing missing here is Al Ahly's fans as I will work very hard to please them," Mosimane concluded.
On his part, the chairman of the club's football planning committee, Mohsen Salah, said, " According to circumstances that Al-Ahly went through with Weiler, it was better to move quickly, as we expected that Weiler would not stay at the club."
"We received dozens of coaches' CVs, and there were good managers. One of the most important conditions for us was his readiness to take over the technical leadership of Al-Ahly, and it was difficult to wait till the end of the season or two weeks," Saleh noted.
