Al Ahly of Egypt will enter their third CAF Champions League final against South African clubs, when they clash against Kaizer Chiefs later on Saturday.

The match will kick off at Mohamed V stadium at 21:00 CLT.

The nine-time African Champion clashed against the South African clubs two times before. In 2001, the Red Devils faced Mamelodi Sundowns as the first leg had been held in South Africa, where the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

While, the Egyptian champion secured a 3-1 victory in the second leg to claim the title for the third time in their history.

Twelve years later, the Red Devils recorded their second clashes against the South African clubs when they faced Orlando Pirates.

The first leg had taken place in South Africa, where both club drawn 1-1, while the African champion pulled off a 3-1 win in the second tie to lift the title for the 8th time.

Today, we will be in a new Egyptian-South African final between Al Ahly, the last edition holders, and Kaizer Chiefs, who qualified for the final for the first time in their history.
