Bahrain and Kuwait have extended the closure of their airspace until at least 4:00 p.m. GMT, following the US and Israeli military strikes on Iran that began February 28, civil aviation sources reported.
Flights over both countries remain prohibited, though Bahrain is allowing select departures from Manama Airport along the shortest route to Saudi Arabia.
Regional airspace disruptions continue, with Iran and Iraq completely closed, Qatar permitting limited daily flights, and the UAE, Syria, and Israel maintaining partial or temporary restrictions.
The prolonged airspace closures are affecting international commercial and cargo operations, highlighting ongoing security concerns across the Gulf amid escalating military tensions.
