The Spanish airline Air Europa announced that a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on a flight from Madrid to Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, made an emergency landing on Monday at Natal Airport in Brazil.
This came after more than 40 passengers on the plane have been injured due to strong turbulence.
The turbulence was so severe that parts of the plane's roof collapsed and one of the passengers flew and got stuck above the luggage. He was later lowered, according to what videos circulated after the accident and filmed by the passengers showed.
