The General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers' Council (AIMC)  condemned on Sunday the repeated terrorist operations carried out by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia.

On Saturday, Al Arabiya reported on its official Twitter account AIMC`s statements about the meeting of Arab interior ministers. According to Al Arabiya, AIMC said that operations carried out by the Houthi militia targeting civilians and international shipping routes approve the group’s hostile approach.

The Ansar Allah group in Yemen had announced Saturday, "launching an air attack on Abha International Airport in the Asir Region, southwest of Saudi Arabia, confirming that "the attack hit its target accurately."

On Saturday, an explosive drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthis towards the Saudi Abha International Airport was intercepted by the Arab Coalition, said Coalition’s Spokesperson Colonel Turki al-Maliki.

Al-Maliki said that the coalition destroyed the improvised explosive device (IED) that was heading towards the airport.

The Arab Coalition spokesperson added that the “terrorist attacks” by the Houthis are a “systematic” and “deliberate” attempt to target civilians.

This attack came after a civilian plane caught fire on Wednesday when it was hit by a Houthi drone.

“The UAV air force targeted the airfields of warplanes at Abha International Airport - which is used for military purposes to target the Yemeni people - with four drones,” Yahya Sarie,” Houthi military spokesman said in a tweet after the attack on Wednesday.
