Humanitarian aid convoys resumed entry into the Gaza Strip on Monday morning through the Al-Awja and Karam Abu Salem crossings, following a complete halt in operations the previous day.

According to information from Egyptian and regional sources, aid trucks began moving from Egyptian territory toward the two crossings designated by Israeli authorities for the transfer of relief supplies into Gaza.

The trucks are reportedly undergoing strict inspection and screening procedures by Israeli authorities before being allowed to enter the enclave — a process that has been in place since the start of the conflict. These security checks remain part of the protocols imposed by Israel on all humanitarian shipments bound for the besieged Strip.

Operations at the crossings had come to a standstill on Sunday, after Israel refused to allow any aid trucks to pass, forcing convoys that had departed from Egypt to return with their full cargo after hours of waiting.

The reopening of the crossings marks a new breakthrough attributed to intensive mediation efforts aimed at restoring the flow of humanitarian assistance. The renewed activity is taking place under close Egyptian supervision to ensure the safe and timely delivery of aid to civilians in Gaza.
