In his address at the 5th Arab Government Administration Forum, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, emphasized the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in government management. He expressed gratitude to the UAE for hosting the event and highlighted the forum's theme, "Applications of AI in Government Administration."
Aboul Gheit stressed that AI has become a driving force across sectors, from economy and education to security and culture. "AI's influence is reshaping governance and decision-making," he said, noting the intense global competition for AI dominance, especially in military and economic spheres. He called for open discussions on AI's impact on employment and ethics, urging Arab governments to integrate AI responsibly into public services and administrative systems.
He also commended Arab nations like Saudi Arabia and the UAE for their progress in AI development, with the Arab League advancing policies and strategies to foster innovation while ensuring ethical standards.
