Ahmed Soliman, a former member of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, announced that he will run for the White Castle's presidency in the upcoming elections.

A few weeks ago, the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports announced the suspension of Zamalek President back then, Mortada Mansour and members of the Zamalek Club board of directors due to financial irregularities.

During radio statements Soliman said: “Zamalek has administrative and technical human resources, and there is a committee currently running the club headed by Counselor Ahmed Bakri who has taken over the task in a short time and tried to enhance the team with free players, such as Ahmed Al Sheikh. In my opinion, the technical level of Zamalek football team players last season was good,"

"The previous council had a problem with renewing players' contracts. Turki Al-Sheikh, intervened more than once and supported the club." he added.

"Zamalek is a big club and the state will support it in the coming period, because it is an entity and not a personal club, and there will be no crises in the coming period," he continued. "Whoever cannot find resources for Zamalek should stand aside, and someone who can bring money to the club will come along, this is my personal opinion,"

"I will run in the next elections for presidency, and I already won 17,000 votes in the last elections and have administrative experience." he continued.

"At the time of the elections, all matters will be discussed. I am the one who brought Presentation Sports to sponsor the club. Everyone was afraid of dealing with them, and I am the one who brought them to the club." he concluded.
