Egyptian actor-singer, Ahmed Mekky is participating in Ramadan 2021 with TV series “El Ekhtebar II” (The Choice 2).
Mekky is playing the role of a police officer in the upcoming series, a different role from the comedy ones his fans are accustomed to.
On Tuesday, the actor went viral on the internet after photos of him circulated online from the behind-the-scenes of the series.
The photos featured Mekky wearing a police officer uniform and carrying a firearm.
Many fans comment on the photos, some even compared him to Hollywood star, Vin Diesel.
The series is considered one of the highly-anticipated production in the drama marathon. It is written by Hany Sarhan, directed by Peter Mimi, and produced by Synergy production company.
It also stars Karim Abdel Aziz, Mohamed Farag, and others. The series will also feature late actor, Hady El-Gyar.
