Prominent TV host, Mona El-Shazly hosted Wednesday Egyptian actor, Ahmed Malek, on her program “Makom Mona El-Shazly” broadcast on “CBC”.
During the interview, Malek below a huge surprise as he revealed that he was among the nominees for Disney's 2019 remake of Aladdin.
"I was among the nominees for the film's lead, and I reached the final stage of the performance of the main character, and at the last stage they asked me to travel to London, but it did not happen," he stated.
Malek continued: "Let us just say that Mena Massoud played the role professionally, but all that mattered is that I connected with the role, but in the end, something happened and I missed the opportunity; I got in it through the Australian movie and landed the role, "
