Egyptian actor, Ahmed Helmy will make a guest appearance on TV series “El Ekhteyar: Regal el Zel” (The Choice: Men of Shadow).
Helmy will star as a government employee who suffers from problems in his simple life and will be featured in several scenes with one of the leading actors of the series, Karim Abdel Aziz.
It also stars Ahmed Mekky, Mohamed Farag, Eyad Nassar, Injy El Mokkaddem, Asma Abulyazeid, Mohammed Alaa, Eslam Gamal, Ahmed Shaker Abdul Latif, Ryad El Khouly, and others.
The production will also feature late actor, Hady El-Gyar.
It is written by Hany Sarhan, directed by Peter Mimi, and produced by Synergy production company.
“El Ekhteyar: Regal el Zel” will center around the events of 2012 from a new angle as well as highlighting the martyrdom of the Ministry of Interior officers, who sacrificed themselves for the country during the period of 2013-2020.

The series is set to screen in Ramadan 2021 and is considered one of the highly-anticipated production in the drama marathon.
The upcoming series will feature over 11 guest appearances including, Ahmed Elawady, who starred as terrorist Hisham Ashmawy in season one of the TV series “El Ekhteyar”.
It will also feature the appearance of Ahmed Fahmi, Mohamed Farag, Karim Fahmy, Hesham Maged, Ahmed Halawa, Ashraf Abdel Baky, Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Mustafa Abu Saree, Sahar El Sayegh, Ali Al Tayeb, Hisham Gamal, Nedal El Shafey, Ahmad Dash, and Abed Anani.
The production wrapped filming on April 7th.
